The popular American actress and comedian Aisha Tyler, known for playing the role of Dr. Tara Lewis in Criminal Minds, is now happy with her career after stopping attempts to get pregnant.
Aisha Tyler once said that it is absolutely normal when women choose work over family and that they should not feel embarrassed or regretful.
Previously, the actress claimed she considered herself to be a professional woman and was not going to have kids. Nevertheless, when she decided to get pregnant after some time, it turned out to be not an easy task. Eventually, Tyler decided to stop trying, as it was impossible to hit roadblocks again and again.
Aisha Tyler cries while talking about fertility problems
The Criminal Minds star broke down crying while revealing her fertility problems on The Talk. After going off the birth control, the actress did everything possible to get pregnant, but it turned out that she has a tortuous fallopian tube.
We just decided it wasn't worth it to go through that and so we decided to stop.
Of course, she tried in vitro fertilization, but chances to get pregnant were extremely low.
After 40 your chances of getting pregnant are between two and eight percent, and in my particular case they were less than five percent. I'm old. In baby years, that's old to be trying to get pregnant.
Doctors also confirmed Aisha’s fears.
Look, based on what we're seeing here, I just don't think this is going to happen for you.
Aisha Tyler says her revelation was really valuable. Few years after revealing the fertility problems, she got divorced with her husband, but it is still unclear whether it was connected with health problems.
Even though Aisha Tyler reacts very emotional every time she talks about fertility issues, she tries not to give up and dedicates herself to career.
