Together with the iconic singer, she had two children, a son, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., who later got a nickname Prince, and a daughter, Paris Jackson.
In 2009, Debbie Rowe said she didn't want to have kids and that Paris and Prince are Michael Jackson's children. She told she never wanted to be a mother, and that it is necessary to earn the title of a mother. Debbie also added her kids didn’t call her mom and she had no problems with that:
My kids don't call me mom because I don't want them to. They are Michael's children. It's not that they're not my children, but I had them because I wanted him to be a father.
Did the situation change?
Now, Debbie Rowe’s relationship with Paris has changed after the daughter found out she was battling breast cancer. It is worth mentioning that Paris was the one who decided to make the first step and texted Debbie, writing words of love and support. As reported, they were planning to meet after the surgery.
Nevertheless, Prince reportedly has no intention to communicate with his mother.
By the way, Stuart Backerman, one of the singer's former publicists, says kids didn't know she was their mother:
The understanding in the Jackson camp was that she wasn't known as the mother. Debbie was known as a close friend or relative. It might have been a relative, or someone who was close but not related.
Debbie Rowe didn’t want to have anything similar with her kids with Michael Jackson. Now, she is reportedly communicating with daughter Paris, but Prince has no desire to have any relations with mother.
