He's Not A Quitter! Clint Eastwood Shares A Timeless Piece Of Wisdom About Growing Old That Still Keeps Him Going

Clint Eastwood is a real Hollywood heavyweight! He’s one of the most prolific actors and directors that's ever lived, and his career spans more than half a century.

His eminent presence defines the greatest era in filmmaking, and he wants you to know this: his time in Hollywood is far from over!

Quitting the industry is the furthest thing from the octogenarian actor's mind. In recent years, Eastwood has proven that he’s still got it, especially with his highly successful directorial work on American Sniper (starring Bradley Cooper).

At such a venerable age, what keeps Eastwood going? His resources seem inexhaustible! He did share some of his secrets, and we all could learn from them.

Aging doesn’t bother him

The actor often gets questions about his age and when he’s going to retire. Well, this fearless man isn’t afraid of growing old, and he thinks there are ways to make this process enjoyable.

He said in an interview with Closer Weekly:

Aging can be fun if you lie back and enjoy it.

The actor also shared piece of wisdom he'd learned from a friend:

You know what the big trick is? I have a friend that is in his 90s, and I said to him, ‘You look real good - what’s the deal?’

He says, ‘Never let the old man in.’ And he never did.

It’s the mantra Eastwood decided to adopt for himself, and he’s lived by it for many years. He still has some exciting projects in the works, and he doesn’t even know if those are the last ones.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor admitted retirement is not on his mind just yet, and for now he’s going to continue doing what he loves:

You never know when you’re going to give up. I’m enjoying it.
