Back in 2006, one man shocked the media after he claimed that he is a secret son of the Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret. Robert Brown declared that he is 12th in the line to the British throne and will do everything to prove it.
But is true?
Scandalous fact or "fatuous nonsense"?
Robert Brown, an accountant in his 50s, is ready to restart the battle after claiming that Princess Margaret is his biological mom. Mr. Brown believes he was born in 1955 to the Queen’s sister, who hid the later months of her pregnancy with the help of body doubles.
He thinks that his dad might be Robin Douglas Home. Robert revealed that after he was born, he was sent to Kenya and raised in the family of Cynthia and Douglas Brown in Nairobi.
Mr. Brown is prepared for a serious fight as he says he is ready to spend a handsome sum to get access to Princess Margaret’s will, where he believes the royal mentions details about his birth.
Commenting to the Guardian, he said with all seriousness:
I can't get it out of my head that I am right. I can understand people are sceptical because it seems to be childhood fantasy stuff, but it is not like that with me.
However, Margaret’s close friend and lady-in-waiting, Lady Glenconner, states that Brown’s words are "fatuous nonsense." She is certain that the royal would tell her about it if it was true in “many, many conversations” they had over the years.
Buckingham Palace refused to comment on Robert’s allegations. Despite that, the man still believes that he is an “illegitimate royal.”
