Donald Trump won’t let anyone who altered a single word of criticism towards him to be left without a punishment. Recently, America’s leader defended himself whilst attacking the social media. His Twitter remark comes after the federal investigation of 12 pipe bombs that were sent to several Democratic politicians, actor Robert De Niro, billionaire George Soros, and CNN.

The president wrote:

Funny how lowly rated CNN, and others, can criticize me at will, even blaming me for the current spate of Bombs and ridiculously comparing this to September 11th and the Oklahoma City bombing, yet when I criticize them they go wild and scream, ‘it’s just not Presidential!’

The attacks on social media, “enemy of the people,” has started since his Inauguration Day. However, many Americans don’t agree with him. Furthermore, actress Jane Fonda thinks that the President’s actions are far from democratic, comparing him to the Nazi’s leader.

Is America turning to Nazi Germany?

The 80-years-old Golden Globe winner gave a powerful speech at the Women’s Media Center Awards in New York. In it, she was not afraid to speak out against the current President.

She stated, according to Variety:

If you have read anything about the rise of the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler you will see the parallels.

The actress followed up by saying that Trump’s attacks on social media are a way towards fascism.

Attacking the media is the first step and move toward fascism. The cornerstone of democracy is an independent, democratic media. And it’s under attack in a major way because bad guys are running it all. We have to make sure it doesn’t continue.

Fonda urged people to stop the attack on democracy and civility by voting. Previously, the actress said that people need to have empathy towards the President. Maybe she changed her mind after the recent events?
