Donald Trump’s presidential campaign considering immigration policies and deportation rules has caused vivid discussions among Americans since his inauguration. People have even got used to hearing Trump’s pretty controversial claims about immigrants. However, the president’s recent comment was probably the harshest one from what he has ever said.

What did Trump say about immigrants this time?

President Donald Trump once again showed his negative attitude towards people who illegally live in America.

According to PolitiFact and Huffington Post, during a roundtable with California leaders on Wednesday, Mr. Trump was not shy about using sharp words about immigrants. In fact, the president even called them “animals” in the context during his emotional speech.

We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we're stopping a lot of them — but we're taking people out of the country. You wouldn't believe how bad these people are. These aren't people. These are animals.

The president explained that his administration is taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that's never happened before. But because of the weak laws, they come in fast, and the government has to bring them out.

It's crazy. The dumbest laws, as I said before, the dumbest laws on immigration in the world. So we're going to take care of it. We'll get it done.

President Trump is known for his strict position considering illegal immigration. In fact, it was a key point of his presidential campaign. According to CNN, in 2017, his administration deported nearly 215,000 immigrants.

It was not the first time when Trump used harsh comments to describe immigrants. In an interview with The Washington Post in 2015, he used this same word twice.

Some people may say it’s a bit ironic for the president to express such a negative attitude towards immigrants because his former wife Ivana and current wife Melania are immigrants too.

What do you think? Wasn’t Trump’s comment too offensive and rude? We look forward to hearing your opinion in the comments.
