The couple has been together for the past 22 years and have spent several of those years working together on television. They even announced their engagement on This Morning.

Many fans wondered why it took so long for the pair to walk down the aisle. They have a son together, Jack, who was born in 2002. Holmes also has three older children from his previous marriage.

Their wedding in June 2010 was well talked about, and the event had several A-list celebrities in attendance. According to Hello!, Holmes was quite eager to finally say “I do” to the love of his life and felt this was the final step to showing how much he cared.

This is our chance to seal that properly and to say to the people we care about and those we've got to know well over the years, 'Come and share this special day with us. Come and enjoy a big old hooley!'

As for Langsford, the event was one that still remains as clear as day. She recalled Holmes being stunned as she walked out in her Angelina Colarusso wedding gown.

As I walked in, I saw all these faces turned towards me, smiling, and then I looked over at Eamonn and I could see in his eyes that he was close to tears. That made me emotional and I actually let out a little involuntary sob. I was thrilled when everyone clapped, because it lightened the mood. I kissed Eamonn, but he couldn't speak, he was so moved.

Holmes and Langsford had reason to celebrate again earlier this month when he was awarded an OBE by none other than the Queen herself. The experience was quite pleasant for Holmes and his wife who accompanied him, but he also said it was a bit overwhelming.

Only so many people get to meet Her Majesty in person, let alone be awarded an OBE. It is a rare honor that many still covet, and Holmes is one of the privileged few.

The couple continues to work on their relationship, both on and off screen.

Eamonn and I are lucky that, as well as loving and caring for one another, we’re still very much in love. Our relationship is very passionate. We’re like Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor – although we bicker and argue, ultimately our love for each other and the bond we share is so strong. He's the rock in my life – my safe place. He’s my protector, my big Alpha Male. He’s all man and I find that so attractive.

Holmes confessed that he intended to stay unmarried for the rest of his life and was quite comfortable living the bachelor life. But that changed when he met Langsford. He said he found in her several attributes that made her attractive and he was head over heels in love with her in a heartbeat.

She's a wonderful mummy to Jack, a fantastic partner both personally and professionally, and now, I'm proud to say, she's my beautiful wife.
