Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines gave birth to her fifth baby on June 24, and she never was happier than the moment she held her baby in her arms for the first time. Although the newborn came two and a half weeks early, he was still hale and hearty.
The 40-year-old shared pictures of her other children waiting outside her room door before doctors allowed them in to see their new baby brother, and the excitement was obvious. Drake, 13, Ella Rose, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 8, waited at the door until the last minute before they were let in.
For the Gaines, the new baby, who was named Crew Gaines, is a double blessing as he comes not long after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary. This brings to seven the number of people in the Gaines family.
Meanwhile, social media is still in a flurry as Joanna continues to share new photos of the adorable baby on Instagram. Just last weekend, she posted a photo of the sleeping Crew that got over 1 million likes in less than 48 hours.
Joanna also happens to have a thing for roses, but she did not start out liking them much, mostly because she believed that taking care of them was a chore. But then, a friend of hers, who was dealing with infertility, gifted her with a rose plant.
It was almost as if her friend could read her mind. She also told Joanna to say a little prayer for her every time she was with the rose plant. So Joanna accepted it. And before you know it, it had blossomed and she was loving every moment tending to her flowers.
Now, Joanna is constantly reminded of the people she loves every time she is in her rose garden. And a few weeks ago, the same friend who gifted her the rose plant showed up with good news: She finally had a baby. And she was very grateful to Joanna, as she believed that the TV star must have been praying for her.
Her friend named her child Jovi Rose as a tribute to Joanna. The baby is now 11 months old. In a recent interview, the "Fixer Upper" star spoke about how she felt even more connected to the people she loved as she continues to tend to her roses.
It was just like a precious moment, … to see, … how much this bush has grown and there were roses all over, … the most beautiful roses, but then to also see this answered prayer on the other side of it. It just reminded me that definitely this is a very special, … special thing for me in my own life, but also a way that in some way I can connect with those I love most.
