After An On-Again-Off-Again Relationship, 'Modern Family' Star Ed O'Neill Is Finally Happy With His Perfect Family

Maybe you haven't heard much about Ed O'Neill, but he's quite a good actor in the TV world. He's best known for his roles as Al Bundy in the sitcom Married… with Children and Jay Pritchett in the TV series Modern Family.

At first, the actor wanted to join the National Football League, but after being rejected, he found his real passion: Acting.

Now Ed O'Neill is a famous American actor and is enjoying life in his 70s. 

Married life 

Ed O'Neill married his sweetheart, Catherine Rusoff, in 1986. His wife is also a Hollywood actress, best known for roles in Married... with Children, Midnight Caller, and Highway to Heaven.

Although O'Neill and Rusoff have already crossed 3 decades of marriage, their relationship has been on-gain-off-again. They separated in 1989 due to some personal issues, but got back together in 1993. It has also been reported that the couple separated in 2009 and even discussed child custody, although, in 2012, they were spotted together.

Perhaps their spark and chemistry are too strong to say bye-bye to each other. Now they are a happy family, living together in Los Angeles. 

Children

Ed O'Neill and Catherine Russof have two incredible daughters: Sophie, 19, and Claire, 12. Interestingly, the couple had to wait 13 years to finally make a full family.

Although the actor initially didn't want to have children, when Sophie was born, he instantly fell in love. Now he is a loving father and doting husband.
