The mother of the Duchess of Cambridge, Carole Middleton, has opened up about the success of her party supplies business Party Pieces.
She credits all her three children Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton, and James Middleton for contributing to the success of the company. All three children have worked for the business.
Because they all grew up with me working, Party Pieces has been very much part of our lives and what we talked about. I still ask their advice and say 'What do you think of this?'
Carole speaking to Good Housekeeping, said of the origin of the business started as a result of her personal need for her children’s parties.

In an interview last year, Carole said if she comes across as normal that would be great. But not everyone who has worked in the company shares this assessment of her.
In an interview with The Mail, several former employees suggest there is another side to the company and give examples of what they describe as 'Carole’s high-handed management style.'
In one day, an employee is said to have received 71 emails from Carole. Another staff said that under pressure, she would sometimes snap her fingers to get someone's attention, which seemed irritating.
It was also revealed that staff are meant to enter a personal code into a computer when they arrive for work. This take note of what time each staff resumes and closes.
It also take note of the amount of work each person has done for the day. The accountant of the company may then send the names of those who fell short of their work load to Carole.
One ex-employee claimed time off for an appoitment with the dentist could count against staff. Another former employee of Party Pieces said:
If you disagreed with her then she would bestow her favour on someone else, whoever happened to be flavour of the month.
