Donald Trump Has Been Mocked For Coloring His American Flag Wrong And Adding A Blue Stripe To It

August 28, 2018

A few days ago, Donald Trump was in Ohio, together with wife Melania, where they toured the Nationwide Children's Hospital. The presidential couple came there to learn about a specialized program to care for kids born into the opioid crisis and find a way to tackle it.

As part of the visit, the Trumps also mingled with children who gladly demonstrated the FLOTUS and the POTUS their drawing skills. And it was simply impossible to resist joining the fun!

As seen in the pictures shared by health secretary Alex Azar, the President decided to color with a group of children. But in one of the pictures, eagle-eyed Twitter folks found a mistake Trump made while coloring the flag.

Did he forget the colors of his own nation’s flag?

It turns out that the 72-year-old added a blue stripe to the star-spangled banner. The 13 alternating stripes should be red and white, representing the original colonies.

In another picture, Trump is seen holding a blue felt-tip pen, which only proves that the flag was his own, and not the one of the kids’. Was it a deliberate act or a simple mistake?

Some internet users suggested the President was coloring in the Russian flag. Others spotted the resemblance to the flag of the Netherlands. And many were just outraged Trump disrespected the flag.

Or, maybe it was just a unique artistic vision and improvisation?
