Countryfile presenter Anita Rani has big dreams. One day, she hopes to have an interview with two of the most influential women in the United Kingdom – Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex.
Rani had a tell-all interview with HELLO! magazine where she revealed her wish-list of guests for the program, and Prince Harry’s new wife is definitely on it.
She’s an incredible, very cool, stylish woman. I also love her for declaring she’s a feminist. It would be great to have her – and Kate [the Duchess of Cambridge] – on Countryfile and get an insight into their countryside. They’d be a dream to interview.
Rani is a feminist herself, and she thinks that men and women should have an equal salary. The presenter commented:
It’s wonderfully empowering to hear women and people of color finally being able to speak out about inequality. Our experiences and chances haven’t been the same for generations. It’s time we all accepted that and worked towards redressing the balance. Pay should be equal.
Countryfile is a British TV program that talks about rural, agricultural, and environmental issues in Britain. It was broadcasted for the first time in 1988.
The show investigates rural issues as well as celebrates the beauty of the UK’s countryside. Anita Rani became one of its presenters in 2015.
Whether Meghan or Kate will agree on such interview, we will see in the future, but knowing the duchesses’ charitable deeds and their power to bring people’s attention to important issues, Rani’s dream might come true one day.
