Susan Boyle Revealed She Was Bullied For Years After Doctors Misdiagnosed Her With Brain Damage

High price of the doctors’ mistake

As a child, Boyle was misdiagnosed with brain damage. The medical mistake cost Susan a lot. Little Susan was bullied by her classmates because she was not like the rest of them. The label of ‘brain-damaged’ turned Susan’s childhood into a nightmare.

In an interview with The Guardian, Boyle confessed she always had a feeling her diagnosis was wrong. The singer addressed a Scottish specialist, who confirmed her surmise. Susan was misdiagnosed. The real condition she was suffering with was Asperger’s, a high-functioning form of autism.

Susan said:

I was told I had brain damage. I always knew it was an unfair label. Now I have a clearer understanding of what's wrong and I feel relieved and a bit more relaxed about myself.

Comeback of a legend

At the beginning of 2019, Boyle made a sudden comeback to AGT’s stage.  The singer agreed to participate in the Champions season of the iconic show.

For her first performance, Boyle chose an eternal hit Wild Horses by the legendary The Rolling Stones. Her gorgeous voice and emotional singing generated a standing ovation.

Susan Boyle is a woman of strong will and faith in the best. She is a vivid example of a person who will work hard and struggle all difficulties to make her dream come true.
