‘Desperate Housewives’ Felicity Huffman Is Released On $250,000 Bond After The College Admissions Cheating Scam Accusations

The biggest college admissions cheating scam scandal hit the Hollywood community as a number of famous celebs appeared to be involved in it. According to reports, the Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman is one of them.

Felicity Huffman faces charges

Felicity Huffman is one of the celebs to face charges for being involved in a college admissions cheating scam.

Felicity and her husband, William H. Macy, have two daughters. Huffman reportedly paid $15,000 to get her eldest daughter, Sofia, into a prestigious private school.

The Desperate Housewives star is now facing charges alongside, at least, 13 other famous parents. However, her husband, the Shameless actor William H. Macy, is not in the list.

Huffman was taken into custody on Monday, and then was released on Wednesday after paying a $250,000 bond.

Celebrities comment on the scandal

Though Huffman had to pay a pretty penny to be released from custody, her colleague, the Full House actress Lori Loughlin, reportedly paid $ 1 million bond.

Both actresses refused from comments. However, some of their colleagues from the entertainment industry had some words to say about the massive scandal.

For example, Kelly Ripa expressed her opinion, saying:

The whole thing is a shame.

Meanwhile, the court hearing for Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin is scheduled by the end of the month.
