Myron Martin, President of The Smith Center, made the official announcement amidst regrets for the delighted fans who were looking forward to the event.

I was so looking forward to bringing my friends to Las Vegas and seeing Liza on the stage again. We hope to reschedule this performance when the time is right, but for now, we are keeping Liza in our thoughts and sending her our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Speculation about Minelli’s health has been rife in the media, and fans have been really worried, especially as the 72-year-old took time off work. There were rumors that she had fallen off the wagon or that her health was in decline. Apparently, neither was the case.

Feinstein, while speaking to The Hollywood Reportercleared the air on the matter once and for all, stating that Minelli was in the best of health.

Recently, we had a little party and I introduced Liza to Darren Criss and his fiancée, Mia Swier, because Darren is a big Liza fan. They kind of fell in love with each other, so I think Darren will become part of the parties that we have where we have music and just kind of hang out. It’s a lot of fun.

The event was earlier scheduled to take place at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Orange County, California. It was supposed to be quite informal, with Minelli and her counterpart Feinstein sharing stories from their decades long careers.

Minelli has to her credit seven Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony awards and after 60 years sure has a lot to speak about. Her performance in Cabaret and New York, New York are epic reminders of the golden age of Hollywood.
