“Insulting And Sexist”: Women Attacked Barbra Streisand For Criticizing Female Trump Supporters

November 28, 2018

Barbra Streisand is not a fan of Donald Trump. She has stated that loudly and clearly. Moreover, she even wrote a new song, entitled Don’t Lie To Me, that takes aim at the current US President.

The lyrics allude to Trump’s games with the truth as The Washington Post came to the conclusion that the American leader made no less than 5,000 “false or misleading claims” since he became the head of the country.

Streisand sings:

How do you win if we all lose? / You change the facts to justify / Your lips move but your words get in the way.

While she didn’t actually mention Trump’s name, it’s evident that her words criticize the President in a subtle, but ingenious way. However, her prickly comments about the women who voted for him created outrage on social media.

Married women make their own choices

In a recent interview, Streisand talked about the female population who voted for Donald Trump. She said:

A lot of women vote the way their husbands vote; they don’t believe enough in their own thoughts. Maybe that woman who’s so articulate, so experienced and so fit for the presidency [Hillary] was too intimidating.

But what she, perhaps, didn’t suspect is that she would make some women very angry. Kadies who support the President took to social media to attack the singer, calling her words 'sexist'.

Do you think there is some truth behind Barbra’s comment or was she wrong to accused married women of not being able to express their own thoughts?
