Health Update: Alex Trebek Revealed He's "Hanging In" There Amid New Round Of Painful Chemotherapy

“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek made his fans worry when he announced he’s undergoing a second round of chemotherapy.

The 79-year-old shared that his doctors decided it would be the best choice as the TV journalist’s lost too much weight and his numbers went dangerously high.

Alex Trebek candidly talked about his latest cancer treatment in a new interview. The TV personality admitted he and was very surprised when he found out his results.

Trebek said:

Yup, (I) went all the way down to numbers that correspond with a normal human being without cancer. Then all of a sudden, it blew up and went 50 percent higher than when it was first diagnosed. Go figure. I'm hanging in.

The father-of-two added that he’s back on chemo and waiting for the numbers to go down. Trebek also shared his opinion on mortality, saying he’s not afraid of leaving this world.

He noted:

I’ve lived a good life, a full life, and I’m nearing the end of that life … if it happens, why should I be afraid that?

In March, Trebek announced he was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and after going a round of chemotherapy, the disease was in remission.

Unfortunately, in September, Alex was hit with a scary setback. We wish him the best of luck and soon recovery!
