Alex Trebek is going through tough times amid his intensive cancer battle. However, the only thing that makes Alex really sad is that he won’t probably see his grandkids.

Health update

Last week, Alex Trebek shared a health update amid his stage 4 pancreatic cancer battle. The Jeopardy beloved host said he is doing well and stays on high spirits.

However, a few days later, Alex revealed that he had to restart chemotherapy treatment. Doctors ordered Trebek to undergo more chemos after his recent checkup.

Trebek explained:

I lost about 12 pounds in a week. And my numbers went sky high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed.

Biggest worry

Despite the not-so-pleasant health update, Alex doesn’t fear for his own life. The only thing that saddens him is that he can pass away before he becomes a grandfather.

Alex and his beloved wife Jean have been married for 29 years and counting. They share two kids together. Alex also adopted a daughter from his first marriage.

Alex said:

One of my worries is that I’ll pass away before I become a grandfather.

He added:

Outside of that, what keeps me going is a desire to make a difference in the lives of people.

We keep praying for Alex Trebek and sincerely believe he will see his grandkids someday. Our loved ones’ faith and support can do miracles. We know Alex can defeat cancer and become the best grandpa to his future offsprings!
