But does this mean that you should not do one? When it comes to cancer, ignorance is not bliss because it is always safer to detect it early.

Melissa Joan Hart’s scare

The actress, who is best known for her role as ‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,’ took to Instagram to share with her fans a scary health experience.

The 43-year-old said in the short clip that she had gone for a mammogram only to be called back for another round of tests.

She described the experience saying:

“So it was a little nerve-wracking. But everything’s good, it’s all clear. I’m glad I did what I had to do, listened to the doctors.”

In the video’s caption, she noted that she had only wanted to share her “little emotional journey” and to give a “reminder to all women over 35- get your mammogram!!”

A few women said they could relate.

One user commented,

“Same thing just happened to me. I didn’t think I was nervous until they told me it was ok (on the callback for more scans) and I started crying alone in the office. So glad all was ok for you.”

You need to be screened

It can be terrifying to get a mammogram, but the American Cancer Society has recommended that women who are at least 40 years old should get start regular breast screenings.
