The girls were 10 and 7 respectively when they moved into the White House with their parents. Sasha's young age made her the youngest person to live in the White House since John F. Kennedy Jr.

The girls grew up in the eyes of Americans for the eight years their father spent in office. Now, Malia and Sasha are no longer the little girls we knew.

Malia is in her second year as an undergraduate at Havard University while Sasha just enrolled at the University of Michigan.

Proud father

The former president of the United States made a reference to his daughters while speaking at an event on Wednesday.

Barack shared leadership lessons he learned from parenting Malia and Sasha, who he says are entirely different.

He explained that Malia has his calm temperament while Sasha takes after mother Michelle. As a result, he had to take different approaches to raise them.

He said:

"There has to be equity and fairness in terms of wanting them to get to the same outcomes, but we had to take sort of different strategies with our girls on certain things."

As reported by TMZ, Sasha is the 'big deal' at school as she is being courted by several sororities. They not only want her because she is the daughter of the former president, but because she is smart, personable, and likable by all.
