Marie Osmond Struggles To Hold Back Tears As She Reflects On Her Son's Suicide: "I Don't Think You're Ever Through It"

Losing a child can devastating and popular singer Marie Osmond knows first hand what that pain can be like.

Marie has been married thrice, twice to the same man. She married Stephen Lyle Craig in 1982 but they divorced three years later. A year later, she tied the knot with Brian Blosil and they had two children together, Rachel and Matthew.

They also adopted five children: Jessica, Michael, Brandon, Brianna, and Abigail.

In 2007, Marie and Brian announced they were getting divorced and in 2011, she remarried her first husband Stephen.

In 2010, it was announced that one of Marie's adopted children Michael, committed suicide at the age of 18.

Marie said she was devastated by the tragic loss and according to TMZ, Michael Blosil left a note which referred his lifelong battle with depression.

It's been nineteen years since that tragic event but when Marie Osmond spoke about it recently, it was clear that she hadn't forgotten that pain.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she was asked how she had been coping with the loss of her son.

Marie fought to hold back tears as she said:

I don't think you're ever through it.

She explained that she often got moments of respite but out of nowhere, the grief can hit her suddenly.

Truly, losing a loved one isn't something people just get over. And let's hope Marie continues to find the strength to forge ahead.
