Patrick Duffy, the star of famous TV series Dallas, lost his wife Carlyn Rosser in 2017 and it's been rough for him. A source once told Closer Weekly reflected on Duffy's loss and said he's "grateful for the years they had together but wishes they had more."

Patrick Duffy is not over his wife's death

Patrick's wife Carlyn passed away on January 23, 2017. By that point they have been married for 43 years, so we can hardly imagine what a devastating loss it was for Duffy.

In a recent interview with Closer Weekly, Patrick Duffy revealed that he still feels Carlyn's presence and doesn't consider himself a widower:

I can hear her. I can see her. I know what she would expect of me, and I try and live up to that. I feel close to her all the time [but] what I miss most is her touch. I still consider myself a married man.

The 70-year-old actor admitted he didn't see Carlyn's death coming and that's when he realized how fleeting life is:

It was a surprise when she passed. There was no indication. So that was the big adjustment. My boys were there as stalwarts. But I also realized that, as much as they were trying to buttress old Dad up, I’m probably more adjusted to this set of circumstances than they are. You reach a certain age and you realize the road ahead is much shorter than the road behind.

Patrick and Carlyn had two sons together: Padraic Terence Duffy (b. 1974) and Conor Frederick Duffy (b. 1979).

The Dallas star also has four grandchildren, so it's nice to know he's surrounded by family.

We wish Patrick Duffy great strength!
