Rod Stewart's daughter, Renee, was born when the singer was married to now-ex Rachel Hunter. Actually, Rod and Rachel had two kids together.

The couple got married in 1990 after a whirlwind romance. The rockstar was 45 at the time and fell in love with the gorgeous 21-year old model. They, however, split up in 1999 but their divorce wasn't finalized until 2006.

Rod Stewart's ex-wife sure gave him a shock when she decided to end things. In an interview, the singer admitted that he was taken aback when Rachel left him as "you don't dump a rock star."

Speaking to the NY Post, Rachel revealed that she had to leave the marriage because she felt lost and didn't know who she was.

Renee Stewart on hiding her dad

Rod and Rachel's daughter, Renee, is all grown up. In an interview with The Times, Renee opened up about having to keep the identity of her dad a secret for a long time because she didn't think it would have been smart to be linked to him.

It’s just not cool to talk about your parents.

She further explained:

When I was at school in LA if people asked me what my dad did I’d say, ‘Oh, he’s in entertainment.’No disrespect to him, but you want to make your own life. You want to be your own person.

It made sense that Renee was determined to forge a name for herself that wasn't tied to her father's considering that she went for a completely different path.

The publication reported that Renee became a yoga teacher after attending an intense training in India.

Her love for dancing

Rod Stewart and Renee Stewart are both talented but they chose different aspects of the arts to express themselves.

In an interview with DailyMail, Renee opened up about her love for dancing in addition to yoga. She also revealed to the outlet that another area that was fascinating to her was modeling, but only if some sort of dancing would be incorporated.

The modelling I want to do is where movement is involved. I love that the fashion industry is using dancers as models more. I see myself as a dancer first and model second.

There's no doubt that this young lady is genetically blessed and can do virtually anything. But it's pretty impressive that she has forged a career for herself without having to rely on her famous parents' names. Not many people can cut off ties this way. Kudos to her.
