David And Victoria Beckham Will Have Kids Cruz And Harper Christened This Christmas In Presence Of Celeb Godparents, Reports Say

The Beckham family has a lot to celebrate this Christmas. Apart from the joy of the Yuletides, there will also be a Christening event that will take place, according to reports.

Events like this may have people wondering about Victoria and David Beckham's religion. However, the couple hasn't really spoken much about their religious beliefs or whether or not they go to church on Sundays.

Nevertheless, reports once circulated that the couple might be practicing Scientology based on their friendship with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes when there were still married but Victoria refuted these claims.

Based on the christening of their children, though, one might conclude that the family is a Christian one.

Cruz, Harper to be christened

According to The Sun, David and Victoria's 14-year-old son Cruz and 8-year-old daughter Harper will be christened this Christmas.

A source revealed to the publication that Harper Beckham's godparents will be Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria while film director Guy Ritchie will step in as Cruz's godfather.

The insider also revealed that the event will take place at the family's Cotswolds manor house and will see such guests as Liv Tyler, Sir Elton John, and husband David Furnish in attendance.

It was reported that guests have been asked to attend the christening dressed in "full-length and fabulous" outfit. And according to the source, the Beckhams believe Christmas is the "perfect time" for a christening party.

In addition, there will be delicious food, drinks, and the guests will be entertained by incredible fireworks.

Brooklyn and Romeo's christening

If you're wondering about the Beckhams' other two children, don't fret, they have already gone through this ritual.

According to The Telegraph, the older siblings were christened in 2004. Brooklyn, then five and Romeo, then two, were christened at a private chapel which was built in the family's Hertfordshire mansion.

The publication reported that Sir Elton John and David Furnish were chosen as Brooklyn and Romeo's godparents.
