Ruth Langsford's sister's death
The coroner ruled that Julia's death was suicide.
During the hearing, it was confirmed Julia, 62, was found hanged in the garage in June. Julia's body was discovered by her husband Paul who had been away visiting the couple's daughter.
Johnson had suffered with depression for years but on her last visit to a psychiatrist, it was decided that she was improving greatly and had ‘settled’, with her appointments being dropped to one every six months.
Julia was a landscape gardener and lived with her husband Paul and daughter Katie in Surrey. Ruth Langford's sister had been vocal about her experiences and illness over the years, always announcing just how helpful Ruth had been in helping her.
The two sisters were very close that's why this loss was so difficulut to live through for Ruth.
Taking to Instagram bach in June, she wrote:
"My lovely Sis Julia has sadly died after a very long illness. My heart is completely broken. She was the kindest and most gentle soul and I will miss her forever. As I am sure you will appreciate I need to take time to grieve with my family. Thank you for your understanding."
Ruth's fan's were quick to support her and express their condolences.
"So sad rip thinking of Ruth & family"
"Heartbreaking, so sad. Rip"
"So sad. Thinking of all the family."
A post-mortem exam showed that Julia was not under the influence at her time of death. Julia was prescribed 30mg of metazapine daily by her doctor, but there was no trace of it in her system.
Although it's been a few months since Julia Johnson's death, Ruth Langford is still grieving. People we love might leave our lives, but there is always a special place in our hearts for them.
