LGBT Campaign Group Sparks Angry Reactions For Saying That Subjects About LGBT People Should Be Introduced In Schools
LGBT acceptance is a matter that's becoming increasingly necessary. According to AdCouncil, up to 55% of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people have reported that they are being victimized or discriminated against due to their orientation.
In a bid to prevent these types of situations, there have been campaign groups set up to educate and enlighten people on LGBTQ matters. Their goal is to raise awareness about the dangers and unfairness of discriminating against LGBT people and encourage acceptance, tolerance, and understanding.
The campaigns attempt to reach the public through a few different means including sharing real-life stories of people who have been victimized or denied employment, services or housing simply based on their orientation.
