The woman told ABC 10 that she noticed a man pull up in a black Hummer and walk over to a residence. Seeing as he looked unfamiliar, she confronted him. Winslow simply said he was looking for his dog. He said the dog’s name was Clifford and it was red.

The woman asked Winslow to leave as she was uncomfortable before calling the police. Winslow was arrested and detained for five hours. He was charged with first-degree burglary before his release on bail of $50,000. A hearing was scheduled for Monday, June 10.

Following his recent arrest, more details have been revealed about Winslow. Apparently, this is not his first brush with the law. He was accused of public nudity and performing lewd acts in New Jersey in 2013.

Now Winslow faces even more severe charges including rape, sodomy, burglary, and kidnapping. A complaint procured by The San Diego Union Tribune from the police stated that Winslow was in the habit of harassing older women, usually between the ages of 54 and 86.

He has been charged for sexually assaulting a 54-year-old woman in March and raping a 59-year-old in May. Sources familiar with the proceedings say that if Winslow is found guilty, he could face life imprisonment.

Winslow appeared in court on Friday, June 15, and is currently in the custody of Vista Detention Facility, in San Diego County, with bail rights rescinded. TMZ reports that a search warrant has been issued on Winslow’s California home.

Winslow’s attorney had earlier stated that his client had no need to steal anything from anyone. However, he has not made any comment about the other allegations.

Winslow was drafted sixth overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2004 NFL Draft. He went on to play 10 seasons for 5 different teams. In 2005, he was involved in an accident that resulted in torn ligaments in his right knee. In 2007, he was selected to the Pro Bowl with Cleveland Browns.
