In April, it was officially confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have finally moved into their new home in Windsor, Frogmore Cottage.

The cottage will offer Meghan and Harry the privacy and quiet life they have been wishing for, especially after welcoming their first child.

The new home had been under the renovation for quite sometime before the new parents were able to move in.

However, it’s been reported that Frogmore cottage might not be the only home for the royal couple.

A gift from the Queen

It’s been said that the Queen is gifting the Sussex couple another home. Meghan and Harry will now have a palace to stay at Buckingham Palace as they will be given a suite of rooms there.

It will be the couple’s base in Central London. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Sussexes are dividing their households from the Cambrdiges so it appears that Meghan and Harry will have their offices at Buckingham Palace.

Soon the new parents will have their own accommodation at the Palace, too, as their second home. Nonetheless, Frogmore Cottage remains the Sussex family’s official residence.

The cottage was not a random choice for the couple. According to royal reporter Emily Andrews, it has a very special meaning for Meghan and Harry.

Their wedding reception was held on the same grounds as their new home, at Frogmore House. Not only that, their engagement photo-shoot took place on that property as well. So it’s not surprising that Meghan and Harry’s heart was set on that gorgeous cottage.
