Zara Philips is the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II. How she came across former rugby captain Mike Tindall is absolutely fascinating. They do deserve a little cheering for making us believe in accidental love.

The Royal heiress saw her future spouse at the Manly Wharf bar in Sydney, Australia. They both were there during 2003 Rugby World Cup and Mike was drowning his sorrows after a loss before the semi-finals. His friend got her number to Tindall so they can invite her for hanging out later. Back home in England, their relationship blossomed.

Wedding anniversary

After 5 years of dating, the couple got engaged in 2010. Her grandparents, Queen and Prince Philip, were utterly delighted by the news. The wedding took place on July 30, 2011, in a private capacity of close friends and family at the Canongate Kirk on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

Now, Mike and Zara are celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary. They have every reason to cherish their union. The pair has two beautiful daughters, Lena and Mia. Their family is perhaps the most low-key among other Royals. She once told Country Living:

It's nice to go out with the dogs and explore the woods and fields that surround our house – I love the quiet and isolation of where we live.

People sent them warm wishes

We also congratulate Zara and Mike on reaching another milestone in their love story. May they have many more! Share this and blow kisses to them!
