The Conners and Roseanne star Sara Gilbert finally revealed a real reason why she decided to leave The Talk after 9 years. It’s pretty unexpected, we have to say.

Why Sara Gilbert leaves ‘The Talk’

Earlier this year, Sara Gilbert literally shocked her multiple fans with a bombshell announcement. The star said she is leaving CBS show The Talk.

Gilbert worked on The Talk for good long 9 years. So, if everything is so great, then why is she leaving? Numerous fans kept asking one and the same question.

Finally, in an interview with Variety, the actress spilled the beans about the real reason for her departure from the show.

Gilbert explained that she is super busy, working on The Conners and forming her own production company called ‘Sara + Tom’. The star said she simply has no time for one more project.

She said:

Something had to give. I’ve been lucky enough to do the talk show for nine years… And now it’s time to do other creative ventures.

Who will replace Sara in the show?

Despite Sara’s decision to depart from The Talk, the show still must go on. So, who will replace Gilbert in this role?

As it was reported by TMZ, Marie Osmond has already signed the contract with CBS and will join The Talk in May 2019.

Osmond had previously hosted the show as a guest, and the ratings were pretty high.
