Lee Majors had an "extreme marriage" with his second wife, Farrah Fawcett. While some people thought they had been like Ken and Barbie, the American actor once compared themselves to Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.
The press was all over the Hollywood stars, and they couldn't really go anywhere. The whirlwind careers and constant spotlight made Lee Majors and Farrah Fawcett forget the essentials of their marriage.
All the ins and outs
Farrah Fawcett passed away in 2009 from cancer at the age of 62. However, Lee Majors still remembers his second wife and sheds some light on their whirlwind marriage.
Majors and Fawcett were the two leading stars in the 1970s, and it was way too difficult to keep work and personal life accordingly. The American actor said:
It was hard to get around...Back then we only had to deal with the paparazzi at large. A lot of time you could evade them, but not all the time.
Both Majors and Fawcett were at the highest peak of their acting careers.
It [the first date] was very quick, and it [marriage] lasted about almost 12 years. But there was a year or so when I think I saw her for two weeks in one year. It's very difficult with careers like that.
Lee Majors and Farrah Fawcett tied the knot in 1973, separated in 1979, and finalized their divorce in 1982. The former couple didn't have any children together within a 6-year marriage.
After three failed marriages, Lee Majors met an American model and actress Faith Cross in 1995. The two got married in 2002, after seven years of being an item.
Faith Cross is 45 years old, whereas Lee Majors is 80. They currently live in Houston, Texas.
