Lucille Ball behind the scenes
Lucille Ball’s granddaughter, Kate Luckinbill-Conner, has recently talked about her grandma and how she behaved in real life. For Kate, the legendary Lucille Ball was simply her grandmother, a person with whom she spent so much time together.
Kate revealed that she was a very good grandma and actually, didn’t try to be someone’s icon.
My grandmother was a regular girl from upstate New York. She didn’t set out to be anyone’s icon.
Kate remembers every single detail from her childhood years when she had a chance to be with grandma as long as she wished. Together, they had so much fun, and Kate remembers Lucille giving her baths and dressing her in silk pajamas.
I remember her giving me these incredible bubble baths. She loved to wrap me up in towels and do my hair and makeup. She’d dress me in these silk pajamas and let me take a nap on her California king-size bed — it was just the most expansive, largest thing I’d ever seen in my life!
Now, Kate is pregnant with a baby boy, and Lucie Arnaz will finally become a grandmother. Everyone is so excited about it!
