Beauty salon staff identified breast cancer

Patty Bolle is undergoing the second round of breast cancer. The first time she was diagnosed 13 years ago, but successfully went through the necessary treatment. At that time, she found a lump in her breast by herself. After so many years, Patty was sure she was already cancer-free. But one day changed everything.

Patty was doing her hair in the beauty salon, and suddenly the hairdresser identified a strange spot on her head. Patty said to ABC 12:

Nikki was pulling my hair up and she said, 'Oh my God, you have a bald spot there,' and I said, 'I do?' So she showed me in the mirror and I went, 'I had no idea,'

Unusual breast cancer symptoms

According to the WebMd, there are certain symptoms, not common for breast cancer, such as:

  • puckering anywhere on the breasts;
  • nipple discharge that comes out on its own
  • flaking or change in the color of the nipple and areola

Dr. Naoto Ueno, chief of Translational Breast Cancer Research at the Center, says in the interview with the Truth About Cancer:

There are breast cancers that present as half a lump or there may be no lump at all. It could just be a strange-looking skin appearance or skin being red or dimpled.

The back pain can also be an indicator of cancer because when tumors are developing in a woman’s breast, they put pressure on the ribs and spine causing new found and persistent pain.
