Being a bride can be anxiety-inducing, especially if the whole world is watching. And Princess Eugenie's wedding wasn't without its awkward moments.

Some trouble with the ring

As the couple said their 'I do's', cameras caught the moment Jack Brooksbank made a funny face while struggling to put his wife's ring on her finger. Eugenie had to come to her husband's aid: She helped him force it down.

All royals have had to wear gold rings since the Queen Mother got hitched in 1923. All of the recent royal brides – Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, and now, Princess Eugenie – wear these Welsh gold bands, gifted by Eugenie's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Kate had the same problem

While the internet was having fun at the couple's expense, royal enthusiasts were quick to recall another similar incident from 2011 when the Duchess of Cambridge almost did not get to wear her wedding ring.

Apparently, Middleton worried that the band would fall off, so she asked that hers is made a size smaller.

She was trying to avoid one mishap and almost ended up with another.

Still, most royal grooms seem to be opting out of wearing the traditional gold bands altogether. When Prince William married Middleton in 2011, he did not wear a ring at all. Similar to him, Jack Brooksbank did not wear a ring as well. What royal traditions will the royal couple break next?
