Whether you like Meghan Markle or not, many see her as a force of good in Prince Harry’s life.
After meeting Meghan in 2016, Harry has turned his life around completely. He’s changed his lifestyle dramatically, and his life’s purpose finally became more clear to him. Most importantly, the Prince realized he wanted Meghan to be the mother of his kids.
On May 6, it finally happened: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Both Meghan and Harry wanted this for a long time, but this is especially important to the new dad, says royal biographer Andrew Morton.
Speaking on Yahoo UK’s The Royal Box, Morton said Harry has loved children since he himself was a child, and he couldn’t wait to start a family once he hit his thirties.
Morton also thinks that Meghan is Harry’s rock, and he needs her more than she needs him:
It’s always been the way that Prince Harry has needed Meghan more than she needed Harry because she’s provided the stability and the structure.
Going forwards, I think that will win over a lot of hearts and minds, people who are undecided about Meghan and they will see how much happiness she’s brought into his life.
If you remember, it was Meghan who brought Harry into the spotlight when they’d just started dating, and they still keep their status of the most talked-about royal couple. But could there be a downside to it?
Royal expert Lady Colin Campbell is somewhat alarmed by the Duchess of Sussex’s growing influence within the royal family. She told The Independent about Meghan:
[Meghan Markle] is in many ways Harry's superior — she's more intelligent, more together, and more strong-willed.
But isn’t that exactly what Harry was looking for?
