Meghan Markle has brought plenty of major changes into Prince Harry’s life in the three years they’ve been together.
First of all, Harry is a family man now! It’s something he wanted for a long time, and now he and Meghan are enjoying a special time as a new family of three with their baby son Archie.
Secondly, Meghan’s influence has had a huge impact on Harry’s lifestyle. He gave up harmful habits, and he’s not the party boy he used to be in his twenties! His circle of friends also changed, and the Prince is not as close with many of his pals as he used to be. Perhaps most surprisingly, he cut out Tom “Skippy” Inskip, his bestie since their Eton years. But why?
As you’ve probably guessed, it was because of Meghan. And it’s not that Tom disliked her or she didn’t like him.
An inside source told Express.co.uk that all Tom did was warn Harry not to rush with the proposal to Meghan, as they hadn’t been together long enough before Harry popped the question:
All the poor guy did, during a heart-to-heart with the Prince, was to venture that Harry might be infatuated, more in lust than love, and maybe he might think about cooling things down before rushing into a proposal.
The former BFFs didn’t cut ties immediately after that ill-fated conversation, but their relationship is not what it used to be. Tom and his wife Lara were present at Meghan and Harry’s wedding, but were royally snubbed, the source said:
Meghan didn’t actually want Tom and his wife Lara at their wedding, but Harry insisted, although they were not invited to the party in the evening, which hurt, because all of their other mutual chums were asked.
However, there appears to be a thaw in Tom and Harry’s relationship. According to Express.co.uk, Tom was one of the first friends Harry called after baby Archie was born, and Tom was "delighted to hear the news."
But will Meghan and Tom put their differences behind? Who knows.
