Guilty as charged
Felicity Huffman took full responsibility for her actions on Monday and faced the consequences. The actress appeared in court where she officially pleaded guilty.
She was accused in paying $15,000 to a fake charity created by Rick Singer to change her daughter’s SATs scores. Huffman broke down in tears in front of the judge after stating:
I had no knowledge of Mr. Singer paying (others). Everything else (prosecutors) said I did, I did.
The plea agreement, recommended by the prosecutors, included four months behind bars. Not only that, Huffman will also need to pay a $20,000 fine.
It is believed that the actress will be sentenced on Sept. 13. But how about her fellow accused Lori Loughlin? Lori has taken a different path as she decided to plead not guilty.
Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli believe their attorneys will help them to escape prison. The future will show how that plays out.
