While Meghan Markle is on maternity leave, Kate Middleton stole all the attention as she appeared at the banquet in Buckingham Palace thrown to honor Donald and Melania Trump.

The Duchess stepped out in an extremely elegant floor-length dress in crispy white color. The beautiful number featured a delicate sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. But even though the dress was surely beautiful, it’s Kate’s earrings that we couldn’t take our eyes off.

Dazzling sparklers

To add some glitz and glamour to her look, the Duchess of Cambridge chose beautiful earrings which she borrowed from the Queen Mother's collection.

Elizabeth II's mother was seen sporting these gorgeous diamond and sapphire fringe gems back in 1986 when she arrived to watch a play Rookery Nook by Ben Travers.

The Queen Mother passed away in 2002 when she was 101 years old. Since then, the women of the royal family pay tributes to her by wearing her precious jewels from time to time.

The last time we saw these beautiful earrings was at the gala dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2015 when Kate proudly donned them for the occasion alongside vibrant Erdem gown.

What a sweet way to honor the Queen’s mom!
