Back in February, we were terrified to hear that a private jet with Jennifer Aniston and her Friends co-star Courteney Cox had to make an emergency landing.

The pair, alongside Jimmy Kimmel's wife Molly McNearny and other friends, was traveling to Mexico for Aniston’s 50th birthday.

But the jet didn’t reach its destination as it was forced to make an emergency landing in California. Recently, Jennifer shared what it was like to experience such a scary situation.

“We heard an explosion”

Jennifer Aniston appeared at Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new film, Murder Mystery. During the chat with the show’s host, she got candid about the awful emergency jet landing she experienced with her pals at the beginning of the year.

Aniston recalled:

It was one of those things where on the takeoff, on the taxi, we heard an explosion. We take off and, two hours in, the flight attendant comes over to me and she says, 'The pilots would like to talk to you.' And I turned to my best friend, Dre, and I said, 'Will you please go talk to the pilot? Because there's no way this is going to go talk to the pilot.

The actress continued her story by saying that her friend returned with sad news – they were forced to turn around and land in California.

Fortunately, the plane managed to make a safe return and the ladies were able to arrive at Cabo eventually.

Jen’s former husband Justin Theroux had a near-death experience, as well. It actually happened on the couple’s honeymoon. Theroux almost drowned when he was scuba diving and noticed he had very little oxygen left in his tank.

Luckily, Justin made it back to safety. Still, though, stories like that make you want to avoid water (and planes) for life.
