CNN anchor Anderson Cooper lost his dearest mother, Gloria Vanderbilt. The fashion designer passed away at 95 from stomach cancer on June 18th.

Inheriting mom's $200 million net worth

The famous entrepreneur who influenced the biggest part of the world left nothing to her son, Anderson from her net worth estimated at $200 million. The TV host explained that he doesn't believe in goodness of inheriting money, rather he thinks it's like "an initiative sucker" and a "curse." Both mother and son solely believed in working hard.

Baby Ben helping Anderon cope

Though Anderson and Andy are no longer a couple, they continue to serve as a support system for each other.

Following the passing of Anderson’s beloved mother, Andy’s four-month-old son is keeping the TV anchor distracted. He had previously lamented his “loneliness” following the tragic loss.

Speaking to Page Six, Andy said his baby, Ben, has been keeping Anderson company. The Watch What Happens Live host said:

I brought Ben over to Anderson’s last weekend. I was like you need to be with a baby right now because he was obviously in a very rough spot. And I think sometimes — I just thought — it would be good for him to see kind of new life and that might energize him a little bit. And I think it did.

Uncle duties

Anderson and Andy have been great friends for years. When the Bravo TV host welcomed his son, Benjamin, Anderson was there to show love and support.

The CNN anchor shared adorable photos on Instagram of him cradling Andy's cutesy son in his arms gently. Looks like Anderson is just one of Andy’s pals baby Benjamin will likely grow to know and love.

Rest in peace, Gloria Vanderbilt! You will be missed so much.
