Will we see Lori Loughlin behind bars?

An official believes Lori won’t be getting off that easy as prosecutors will do everything to make the actress pay for she’s done and serve some time in prison.

If convicted, the actress might be facing a maximum of 5 years behind bars.

Plead guilty or not?

Information obtained from CNN said the actress and her husband, are not yet ready to enter a plea deal for their alleged role in the college admissions scam.

A source close to Lori said:

They are not ready to make a plea like Felicity (Huffman) and go down that road. They are hoping to just let this play out in the judicial system. They are innocent until proven guilty.

The couple who appeared in court last week has not indicated if they would plead guilty or not. However, Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman and others have agreed to plead guilty in the case.

Lori and her husband have been accused of paying $500,000 to a fake charity run by Rick Singer, the mastermind of the admissions scam to get their daughter Olivia Jade into the University of Southern California.

Earlier this week, they were also charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering.

According to federal officials, each offense is punishable by a maximum of 20 years in prison. Three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000 for charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.

Jim Carrey has something to say

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey was also among celebrities who expressed their displeasure over the matter. The Mask star shared his thoughts concerning the college admissions scandal on Twitter.

Carrey posted a drawing of Lori, stating that it's not only the actress and other celebrity parents involved in the scandal, but all cheaters will eventually receive a failing grade.
