McCarthy worked on The View for a bit more than one year, in 2013. Jenny confessed, at first, she felt very excited to work with Whoopi as she was her huge fan since Ghost.

McCarthy said:

I loved her in Ghost. I’m a fan. I thought I was going to work with the Whoopi that people thought they might know — fun and funny.

However, Jenny explained that in real life Goldberg is not so ‘fun’. McCarthy said the Ghost star wanted to control everything and everyone on the set.

She explained:

To me, Whoopi had an addiction to controlling people’s thoughts, their words, the room, the table, your feeling, your mood. She had an addiction to controlling all of it and everybody.

In the interview, McCarthy also talked about her ‘traumatic experience’ of working with another co-host, Barbara Walters.

It appears that it’s not so rainbow and funny behind the scenes of the people’s favorite show, The View. But, on the other hand, we all have skeletons in our closets. Right?
