The news about Leslie Grantham’s death came out of the blue on Friday morning. The actor’s agent said there would be a private funeral. Before the tragic event, there was news about Grantham’s return from Bulgaria to the UK to receive some treatment, but no one hoped for such an outcome.

The actor was famous for his role in EastEnders. He played there from 1985 to 1989, then there was a big comeback from 2003 to 2005. His role of Den Watts, the landlord of the east London public house, shot him to fame.

He is said to have some health issues before. When filming some scenes for another movie he was noticed to look frail. What is more, he was admitted to the hospital just some months before. He must have felt something as he even sold his house in Bulgaria as if he knew he wouldn’t come back.

Rest in peace, Leslie Grantham.
