Prince Philip’s health update

Prince Philip’s son, Prince Charles, notified royal fans that the 98-year-old is doing very well amid his urgent hospitalization on December 20. According to PEOPLE, the future King stated:

He’s being looked after very well in hospital. At the moment, that’s all we know.

It seems like nothing is serious with Prince Philip. According to a source, the Queen’s husband “walked in” the hospital instead of being taken in by an ambulance vehicle. However, everybody hopes he’ll be released by Christmas to spend family time in Norfolk.

Prince Philip’s retirement

The Duke of Edinburgh officially quitted his royal duties in 2017. Due to his age and health issues, the decision was made accordingly. Last year, in April 2018, he had to undergo hip surgery.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement notifying that Prince Philip was successfully released after “a hip replacement operation.” He later continued his recovery in Windsor, and it was a good time for him, aside from fulfilling royal duties.

“What has Prince Philip accomplished?” you may ask. Here are some achievements prior to 2017:

  • He is the longest-serving consort in British history.
  • His primary concerns were wildlife conservation and charity work (e.g., The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme).
  • From 1952 to 2017, 22,219 royal engagements were completed on his own.

We sincerely hope the best for the Duke of Edinburgh. Christmas is tomorrow, and New Year is also approaching quickly, so we do expect he’ll be able to spend winter holidays with his wife and other members of the royal family.
