In a recent ITV documentary, Meghan Markle opened up about the tough times she went through while she was pregnant with baby Archie due to constant media attention. The Duchess also added that she didn't receive much support from Harry's family, which made her feel extra "lonely" and "vulnerable."

Apparently, such a mentally challenging pregnancy pushed Meghan to consider having a second baby in Los Angeles, where she could be closer to her home.

An insider told OK! Magazine that the Duchess of Sussex has pretty much decided to give birth to her second baby in the US:

Meghan already told pals that when she comes to deliver her next baby, she’d like to do it in LA where she was born and bred. She said that being pregnant in the UK without any of her family and friends felt incredibly lonely and uncomfortable for her. So she’s keen to change that the second time around and would like to buck tradition to ensure she’s happy – although that may ruffle feathers along the way.

It would be much more comforting for Meghan to be close to her mom and away from the UK media that follows and examines her every move. We would imagine she'd feel much more safe and serene at home.

But what does Prince Harry think about this? The source shared that the US birth would not please the Queen, but the Duke will support his wife no matter what:

Harry was initially concerned at the implications of having their second child in the US, as well as the problems it could cause with his family. But it’s believed he’ll support Meghan and do whatever it takes to make her happy and alleviate any anxieties or stresses.

What rules would Meghan be breaking with a US birth?

There are many rules regarding a royal birth that could be problematic to follow overseas. For example, the Queen must be the first to know when a new royal baby is born.

In addition, all birth teams are always sworn to secrecy, and you know they will honor the vow since British citizens deeply respect the royal family. Thus, trusting a foreign medical team might be unsafe for Meghan and the entire family's privacy.

It's also customary for royal women to give birth at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London, but Meghan Markle already defied this tradition.
