Kate Middleton’s Remembrance Day tribute

As the royal family gathered to commemorate the war heroes this Sunday, the Duchess of Cambridge had her own heroes in mind to pay tribute to.

In the latest Kate Middleton news, we discovered that the Duchess’ three relatives served the nation during the Second World War: her beloved grandmother Valerie Glassborow, Valerie's twin sister Mary and her great-aunt. All three women worked as codebreakers at Bletchley Park.

To honor their bravery, Kate wore The Codebreakers Brooch, which is a special brooch created as a tribute to those who worked in signal intelligence.

The brooch’s description reads:

Inspired by the rotors of the Enigma machines, from which Allied cryptologists successfully decrypted a vast number of enemy messages during the Second World War, the Codebreakers brooch is an extraordinary tribute to the work of those in signal intelligence. Each elegant brooch comes with a certificate to remember one of the 13,000 men and women on the Bletchley Park Roll of Honour.
