Queen's Granddaughter Zara Tindall Has A Passion For Race But Now She's Officially Banned From Driving For 6 Months

January 10, 2020

What the hell is going on with the royal family? Prince Andrew's resignation, Meghan and Harry's quitting royal duties, Prince Philip's car accident, and now Zara Tindall's driving ban.

Last year, the Queen's husband got into a car crash near Sandringham, shortly after the Christmas holidays. The 98-year-old's vehicle reportedly flipped over, but everything was pretty okay. The only fear was that another care had a nine-month-old baby. Thankfully, nobody got injured. But what's up with royal driving?

Zara Tindall's driving

Royal chaos is keeping up within the British monarchy. Several days ago, the Queen's granddaughter, Zara Tindall, got banned from driving for half a year!

The 38-year-old was caught off driving at 91mph near her Cotswolds home, with the speed limit of 70mph. The reason for the driving ban is that Tindall has gotten 13 penalty points on her license.

Zara admitted her fault through her lawyer in the UK, but she did not show up in a court just because she's vacationing with her family in Australia. She will have to pay $870 for additional costs. This situation will be somewhat embarrassing for the royal family as she is a brand ambassador for Land Rover.

It seems like Princess Anne's daughter loves high speed. In 2019, she appeared on BBC America's Top Gear with her husband, Mike Tindall. The video shows Zara's wild ride behind the wheel, and it is getting understandable why she's feen fined so many times recently.

Laws royals don't have to follow

  • Her Majesty isn't required to have a driving license.
  • Neither civil nor criminal actions can be taken against the monarch.
  • Royal members rarely use seatbelts in case they need to 'escape' out of emergency.

The royal family is going through some hectic time right now. Hopefully, it will not affect the Queen's wellbeing or overall structure in the Palace. However, it just proves that we all are humans, and sometimes, we have weak sides and a carefree lifestyle.
