Katharine McPhee Uses All Her Wit To Defend Marriage With David Foster

December 25, 2019

On June 28, 2019, Katharine McPhee and Canadian composer David Foster got married. They got engaged a year before, during their vacation in Europe.

The 35-year age gap has never been an issue for the couple. However, it seems like it is a problem for internet trolls, who love to point that out.

Nonetheless, McPhee knows how to put those trolls down, as she proved it.

How to deal with a troll in 'McPhee way'

The singer who got famous after taking the second place in the 5th season of American Idol updated her followers on Twitter about the wedding. She jokingly wrote:

Picking your bridal party is like a real-life MySpace top 8.

Her tweet got a positive response, but one user wasn’t particularly excited as she quipped:

Except MySpace lasted longer than this marriage ever will @jessicaleighleigh.

McPhee decided to fire back and used all her wit to write the most perfect response:

I’m assuming it also lasted longer than any relationship you ever had with a hairdresser?

This is definitely not the first (and probably not the last) time the singer had to defend her relationship with her beau. She knew what she was getting herself into when she started dating him, so she had to grow a thick skin to protect herself from those who would struggle to understand her choice of a partner.

Luckily, it appears that the Smash star doesn't bother about what other people think. Previously, she noted that people should care more about elections than her relationship with Foster.

Katharine McPhee knows how to defend herself! The couple seems to be happy together, and if they don’t care about their age difference, other people shouldn’t, too.
