Salma Hayek isn't only a famous actress, she is also a devoted wife. The actress has been happily married for many years. In 2007, she announced her engagement to French billionaire François-Henri Pinault. It was a huge surprise as the couple was already expecting their first baby.
François-Henri Pinault is a well-known billionaire businessman and philanthropist. He is CEO and chairman of luxury fashion conglomerate Kering, which owns brands like Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen.
Salma gave birth to their baby and two years later, the duo got married in a romantic ceremony in Paris on Valentine's Day. Salma Hayek's daughter was born in 2007 and her name is Valentina Paloma Pinault.
Hayek seems like she is absolutely happy with her marriage. However, tying the knot with a billionaire has its own disadvantages.
The Hollywood icon had a candid interview with Town&Country where she touched on very personal topics. Salma revealed she had experienced "millions” incidents of discrimination. But some of them were not even connected with her profession.
The actress revealed that some people can’t imagine that a Mexican woman could marry so well in her life. She explained:
A lot of people are very shocked that I married who I married. And some people are even intimidated now by me.

The actress added:
They can’t believe this Mexican ended up in the life that she has, and they are uncomfortable around me.
Nonetheless, marrying a billionaire doesn’t mean that Hayek can now just do nothing all day or make endless shopping trips. The actress said that Pinault encouraged her to go back to work after giving birth to their baby. Her husband believes “the world has not seen the best of her.”
