2018 will be remembered by the subjects of the British crown for two grand royal weddings: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married in May, and in October it was Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank who tied the knot.

Women from all over the world must have looked closely at the wedding dresses of each royal bride. Both Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie followed an old tradition of having two dresses for this significant day.


And although the images of the second wedding dress of the Duchess of Sussex from different angles were available as soon as she and her husband went to their evening reception, Princess Eugenie took her time with the intrigue. Only recently has the designer of her gorgeous dress, Zac Posen, revealed its back.

The dress of the color ‘blush of an English rose’ has a deep cut on the back, echoing the bride’s first dress by Peter Pilotto. Eugenie of York specifically requested an open back so as to expose her scar from spinal surgery as a child. Also, the outfit was decorated with a long train befitting the royal status – just like all princesses in fairytales.

The American designer, who dresses the female-half of Hollywood, did his best for the princess as well. He used unusual colors and highest-quality fabrics, draperies, and pleats. This is a true work of art!

Ideally fitting the feminine figure of its owner, the dress will be remembered for a long time. It’s safe to assume that soon women of fashion will order similar styles from their designers.
